DIY// Pom Pom Flowers

Usually I am so ahead of holidays, craftings sketched out in my notebook months prior. This year is different. My motivation level and inspiration level varies by day. Yesterday I couldn't bare that Valentines Day was only two days away and my house had not one pink thing or heart hanging in it.
So I spent the sunny afternoon making some pretty tissue paper flowers to make my world feel a little more magical again. These are so super easy you will be upset you ever wanted to buy a premade pack.

 1. tissue paper 2. scissors 3. floral wire/yarn/string
 1. You will need the whole package for one flower but I didnt want my flowers too big so I cut the whole stack down the middle and got two flowers out of each package. 8 sheets works best.
fold tissue paper accordion style, about an 1"-1 1/2"
 2. cut ends, if you cut them at a point you will have more dahlia looking flowers if you cut them with a rounded edge you will have more peony looking flowers.
 3. wrap a piece of wire or string in the middle to keep your pom pom together.
4. fan out and slowly pull each layer up. I pulled half then turned it over and did the other half, that is how they will become a pom pom puff.
Hang and enjoy! I know I am a little late but my house feels festive and happy again.
